Home Before Dark
Book cover design for the thriller novel Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. Inspired by the recent covers for Sager’s novels, the bold serif font mirrors the supernatural/Gothic elements of the novel. The image and treatment convey a sense of isolation, and the reflection of the house symbolises the two versions of events and stories told within the novel. The tight typography and leading intentionally create a claustrophobic feeling.
